One of the legendary smaller projects by the Castiglioni brothers, originally designed as an advertising object for Kraft in 1962, we put it into production in 1996. Another fine example of the Castiglioni approach, giving a precise sense to every last detail of design: one side of the spoon/spreader has the same curvature as that of the inside of the food cans, so that the mayonnaise, or whatever glutinous food it is used for, can be removed properly. The other side, however, is straight, so as to slide along the side of the containers. A thumb-rest is located on the handle, partly to reinforce the plastic and partly to make it easier to grip: a useful detail in an object which can easily become slippery when used.
